Purpose
Coat Rim is an environmentally friendly immersion-type paint remover that contains no dichloromethane.
It is effective at room temperature or under heated conditions, and demonstrates outstanding stripping performance particularly for melamine resin and acrylic resin coatings.
Coating Properties
| Appearance | Colorless to pale yellow liquid |
|---|---|
| Odor | Slight ammonia odor |
| pH | 12.2 ± 0.5 (50% aqueous solution at 20°C) |
| Specific Gravity | 1.02 ± 0.02 (20°C) |
| Flash Point | 90°C |
| Metal Corrosiveness | No effect on most metals, including iron |
How to use
(If volume reduction due to evaporation becomes significant, use an evaporation suppressant.)
・Immerse the object to be stripped in the remover. Maintain the specified temperature during immersion. A standard immersion time of 2 hours or more is recommended.
・After the coating softens, swells, or dissolves, remove the workpiece from the solution.
Wash with pressurized water or a brush to remove the coating (warm water rinsing improves removal performance).
・If stripping is insufficient and re-immersion is required after rinsing, remove as much moisture as possible from the workpiece before re-immersing.
Excess water may alter the balance of the remover and reduce its performance.
【Precautions During Operation】
・Wear protective equipment such as gloves, safety goggles, and an apron when handling the product.
・Remove stripped paint residue approximately once per month, depending on stripping volume.
・If the remover comes into contact with skin, rinse thoroughly with clean water for at least 15 minutes and seek medical attention afterward.
・Please review the MSDS before use.
